This article introduces the different types of scanners and integrations available in Cynomi. It explains what each scanner is used for and how they help assess your client’s cybersecurity risks.

What Are Scanners in Cynomi?

Scanners in Cynomi allow you to evaluate your client’s environment for vulnerabilities and misconfigurations. There are both built-in and third-party scan options available.

Supported Scans and Integrations

Cynomi supports the following types of scans:

  • External Scan – Scans external IPs and domains for vulnerabilities.

  • Internal Scan – Uses downloadable scripts to evaluate local networks and systems.

  • Nessus External Scan – Upload results from an external Nessus scan.

  • Qualys External Scan – Upload results from Qualys.

  • Microsoft Secure Score – Upload Secure Score CSV exports for deeper Microsoft cloud analysis.

🔍 Scanners provide both positive (informational) and negative (action-required) findings that help guide risk mitigation efforts.
